Fishing Creek Lodge and StudioWalk™ Art Studio

Such a hidden gem very close to Ricketts Glen State Park. While looking for a camp site we found this place on maps. Initially we had planned a tent site but the weather was uncertain. I’m almost glad the weather shifted and that we decided on this cozy little spot. The room was very cute and our stay was quiet. It’s close enough to the glen and all the trails but not around a million other people (this really was the ideal way to enjoy the park, it gets PACKED at the campgrounds). Our host really was phenomenal. She is so welcoming and nice and we enjoyed speaking with her just as much as we enjoyed our stay. Kitchen is set up nicely to make meals if you bring food. The living room has a tv, books, and board games. The covered porch and side patio are great, and there’s a small creek just across the road. We travel all over and stay in many places of all types. Very few of them leave such an impression on us like this one. If you’re considering the area at all this is THE place to stay. (There’s also an adorable pottery studio attached that you can make your own pottery. Which is awesome to see in this area!)

The Fishing Creek Lodge has done made my bed and breakfast experience the most heavenly. It was truly a blessing for me to have gotten to stay here and be welcomed as polite and sincerely as I was. Honestly I can't imagine a better place than this one! I Highly HIGHLY recommend this. It was so much more than I expected, outside/inside activities, book selection, I feel like they have covered everything you would want to do they have provided it all for you! There's all your necessities already provided for you. They are working on making a coffee shop right beside it on the other side and can't wait to come back again which I will be doing.I really needed an overnight stay and she accommodated that for me. I could not thank you guys enough! This review doesn't even compare to the actual experience. You'll just have to book a stay yourself and see! I promise you won't be let down!!

Beautiful home The owners are genuinely great people- friendly, accommodating and offer a wealth of knowledge on the area for fishing, hiking,hunting. Perfect spot for a family looking for a weekend getaway. Kudos to Kathleen and Terry !

Cozy homey place with personality. Hardworking hosting people that actually care how you feel. Very informal relaxing atmosphere. Basic breakfast included in the price, hot breakfast by Karen for little extra charge was amazing! It was very nice to have dinner of our choice after walking at Ricketts Glen all day. Homemade like food by certified chef Michael was delicious! We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. Very close to the road but had a nice fire pit along with a cafe. There is a nice bar in Jamison City not too far. Walk to the creek. No cell service but wifi equipped. The furniture is amazing. Lots of handcrafted wood. Free breakfast in the morning and coffee. Nice merchandise in the cafe. Breakfast sandwich was great. Highly recommend for your get away!!!

We stayed here for one night when we were participating in a group hike at Ricketts Glen, which is just up the road. The owner, Karen, and her son, Mike were both most gracious, welcoming and attentive to whatever we needed to make our stay comfortable. This is a 130 year old building, so, yes, if you're looking for the Hilton, it isn't here. I think the people who have posted negative reviews are really sure how country Bed and Breakfasts work. I found the accommodations exactly what you would expect for the price and the owners, and their adorable cat, Mama, were eager to make your stay pleasant. Got exactly what we were looking for. Would return and recommend.

Stopped on our way to our cabin not too far away. Very warm and relaxing environment inside. The coffee was great, but the desserts were even better. We had quite a long chat with the owners, who were extremely friendly and passionate. As someone whos been visiting the area for my entire life, it's great to see new businesses take over and offer more modern amenities and food options. I'd highly recommend this place, we'll be frequenting it on our trips for sure. If you're looking for a great getaway to rickets Glenn, hiking or the many new events coming to the area, I'd highly recommend. It's a perfect location for food and travel!

My daughter and I just stayed here for a second time as we hiked the trails to see the waterfalls. We learned the place is under a new owner. They are very pleasant and are doing great new things to the bed and breakfast. It’s going to look amazing when they finish. The area is quiet, outside a few passing vehicles. My next hiking trip I will be staying here for a third time.
